Chinese economy slows down, Chinese companies pick up

Due to the traditional for Europe and Russia summer vacation period and a general recession in the metal and steel market (drops in prices and charges of capacities) the market activity in July has slowed down.

As compared to their European colleague, Chinese steel companies show activity in the exhibition field. Thus, Metal-Expo Organizers expect no less than 70 Chinese companies to participate in Metal-Expo’2013 against 52 companies participating last year. The main types of products Chinese companies will exhibit this year range from raw materials for the ferrous industry, steel, tubes, rolled stock, refractory materials, to equipment for the steel industry and engineering solutions for modernization of already existing and building new capacities.

More than 750 companies from 35 world countries will arrange their expositions on the total of 30k sqm at Metal-Expo’2013 on November 12-15, 2013 in Moscow. For reference, the last Metal-Expo show hosted 45 Chinese steel and engineering companies.
