The biggest Russian fairground to regain its original name

The main exhibition fairground in Russia has been returned the original name it bore until 1992: Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy Fairground. S. Sobyanin, the Governor of Moscow launched the initiative after his inspecting the fairground due to its ownership having being transferred to Moscow (before Moscow had 30% stake, the rest was owned by the Russian Government). The Governor of Moscow turned to Moscowites with the suggestion to vote for the renaming of the fairground. More than 90% supported the initiative. The renaming has been followed by a big project on the modernization of the fairground including all the exhibition halls so the fairground eventually becomes the Moscow biggest cultural and exhibition center.
