Belarusian Steel Mill BMZ Increases Bronzed Bead Wire Production

Belarusian steel mill BMZ, a Metal-Expo regular exhibitor, made 3,938 tonnes of bronzed bead wire in March 2020, 20% up from March 2019. It is one of the highest figures recorded in the last few years. In Q1 2020 BMZ sold over 11,000 tonnes of bronzed bead wire to 11 countries. The key importers were Russia, Romania, Poland, Portugal, and Germany. The customers included such major tire manufacturers as Michelin, PAO Nizhnekamskshina, Continental, AO Cordiant, and Pirelli. BMZ also regularly ships bronzed bead wire to the Belarusian tire manufacturer Belshina.

Bronzed bead wire is used to reinforce part of the tire. BMZ offers over 20 bronzed bead wire types with the diameter varying from 0.89mm to 2mm. BMZ's engineering department constantly improves parameters of these products and expands the product range. It allows the company to live up to expectations of regular clients and find new ones. For instance, in early April BMZ made the first batch of bronzed bead wire for a new customer from Serbia.
